It was way back in the year 2011, that four persons, one doing private service, a housewife, agriculturist and a retired school teacher, moved the Bombay High Court, seeking directions to the State and Central government, to ban, the right wing organisation Sanathan Sanstha. The public interest litigation, spearheaded by Vijay Rokde, claimed that they were sufferers of the terrorist activity committed by the Sanstha and its members and therefore had approached the court to protect the interest of other individual citizens of India. The four of them in the petition narrate stories about how, their wife, young daughters, who were well educated, simply left their homes leaving, after being influenced by the Sanstha and its members. The plea claims that in Serbia, the activity of the Sanatan Sanstha, is declared as Terrorist activity and is banned. Further, the petition alleged that to achieve the goal of 'Ishwari Rajya' the Sanstha and its office bearers/Members practices illegally the principles of 'Ericksonian Hypnosis', a core branch of Psychology, whereby Hypnosis this technique the individual members in the society as well as masses in the society can be hypnotized. Any person under the impression of this technique loses his prudent wisdom and only work according to the direction of hypnotist. It is also pertinent to note that as a result of practicing this system it is very easy to plan and commit the destructive activity. In 2012, the state government filed an affidavit in the court stating that the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) had addressed a letter to the Director of Union Home Ministry informing it that three cases regarding bomb blasts has been registered against Sanatan Sanstha. However, on the last hearing date of the PIL, February 7, 2017, Dr G R Sharma, counsel for the Union of India, informed the high court that "Material submitted by the State Government was not sufficient for the Central Government to come to a conclusion that the activities of the respondent-institution are that of the terrorist organisation or falling within the scope of the words "terrorist organisation". Following, which the court posted the matter for final hearing and till now, next hearing date is not assigned. Speaking to dna, Rokde said "There are provisions under the Indian Penal Code and the Constitution of India, to ban the organisation for life. Like us there are many other people who are facing the problem of their family members suddenly leaving homes, because of the influence. As and when i come to know of it happening, i try to counsel them and make them aware of the activities of the Sanathan Sanstha. But, not many people open up."
