Narendra Dabholkar murder case: Suspect leads to arms seizure

“It would be premature to say that the said weapon [pistol] was used in the murder of Dr Dabholkar. Meanwhile, the state ATS said that no links of Shrikant Pangarkar, who was arrested in connection with the terror conspiracy case registered by them, have surfaced in the Dabholkar’s murder case. The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday night seized a pistol, live cartridges, a sword and a dagger from Aurangabad at the instance of Sachin Andure, a suspect in the murder of rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar. The seizure happened after Andure told the CBI that he had given the weapons to his relatives Ajinkya and Shubham Surale – and their friend Rohit Rege – for safekeeping. The CBI has now arrested the trio.

It will be sent for forensic tests,” said a CBI officer. The seizure happened after Andure told the CBI that he had given the weapons to his relatives Ajinkya and Shubham Surale – and their friend Rohit Rege – for safekeeping. The CBI has now arrested the trio. Meanwhile, the state ATS said that no links of Shrikant Pangarkar, who was arrested in connection with the terror conspiracy case registered by them, have surfaced in the Dabholkar’s murder case.
