Over 5,000 personnel have been deployed at 162 major immersion spots, of which nearly 550 personnel will be deployed for the Lalbaugcha Raja itself. Over 5,000 personnel have been deployed at 162 major immersion spots, of which nearly 550 personnel will be deployed for the Lalbaugcha Raja itself. In addition, to handle traffic bottlenecks, the police has sought help from the NSS and NCC members. To handle congestion at crowded places, cops will dress as civilians, while 5,000 CCTV cameras will monitor the situation in real time. Additional help centres and first aid desks have also been set up at key immersion points. In addition, drones will operate over sensitive routes. In all, 53 roads will be closed, 56 roads will become one-way, 99 are no-parking spots, while 18 have prevented entry to heavy vehicles. "Despite the challenges, we are absolutely ready. Efforts for planning of bandobast have been increased. Sufficient deployment and highest level review has been undertaken in case we need to deal with unforseen events or incidents on the final day. We are ready and our arrangements are meticulous. Anti-terror cells of all police stations have been activated. I urge people to dial 100, or tweet to us or use the WhatsApp helpline number of Mumbai Police in case of any emergency. We request people to not respond to rumours without verifying," said Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Manjunath Shinge.
