They have now decided to proceed with a proposal during the society's annual general meeting to encourage residents of the building to use the device in their kitchen and washroom taps. An office bearer of the Venus Society spoke about their initiative during DNA's "Every Drop Counts" session held on Saturday evening, at CPRA garden in Cuffe Parade. Sunil Patel, president of the Venus CHS said that these are very small steps that can save a lot of water. He further said that the water perforator can bring down flow of water to 6 litre per minute and save more than 50 per cent of water. According to Patel, the device can also be fitted in garden taps and public toilets. "People forget to close taps while cleaning cars or using public toilets.
