Men of service: Indian Merchant Chamber confers bravery awards on 12 Mumbai police officers

Acknowledging the Mumbai police's selfless service to the public, the Indian Merchant Chamber (IMC) on Friday felicitated 12 police officers for extraordinary work in their line of duty. Recognising Valor12 police officers of the Mumbai Police were conffered with awards under 12 categories. Mumbai CP Jaiswal said, "It goes without saying that Mumbaikars love their police force and we are grateful that efforts of our men are being recognised. His wife, Swati Gawand said, “My husband’s death did not go in vain as the criminal was apprehended. When Gawand told them to surrender, the thieves hit him mercilessly on the head with a wooden plank.
