Around 1,500kg paneer was seized from Sainath Dairy on Kaman Road, Vasai (east). The materials used for the paneer were, however, did not come across as spurious.FDA officials said that as the paneer was manufactured in unhygienic condition, it will be destroyed. The raid comes two weeks after a dairy in Vasai was raided for processing paneer using sulphuric acid.The raids were carried out by a special team of the Palghar district police along with FDA officials late Wednesday. MUMBAI: Paneer weighing around 2,000kg - manufactured in unhygienic conditions - was seized from two milk dairies in Vasai in the Konkan division of Maharashtra state.Samples of the cottage cheese have been sent for testing by the Thane Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ascertain whether it is spurious.
