Yuva Sena asks Mumbai University to set up call centre to resolve students' issues

Senate members of Mumbai University belonging to Yuva Sena have demanded the Vice-Chancellor of the varsity to set up a call center to address students' inquiries and grievances. On Thursday, Mumbai University Senate members from Yuva Sena met the Vice Chancellor at Fort campus and gave a letter demanding to start a call center for the students. More than five lakh students are studying in the university spread across different regions like Ratnagiri, Raigad, Panvel, Thane, Kalyan, Palghar. According to the letter, the Mumbai University is spread over than 12 Lok Sabha constituencies. This will not just help students but also ease the burden on Mumbai University that attends a number of inquiries every day, claims one of the senate members.

According to the letter, the Mumbai University is spread over than 12 Lok Sabha constituencies. More than five lakh students are studying in the university spread across different regions like Ratnagiri, Raigad, Panvel, Thane, Kalyan, Palghar. When and all these students need some information on their exam time-table, transcript, convocation, mark sheets, etc. they have to all the way come to either Kalina campus of the varsity or the Fort campus. Pradip Sawant, senate member from Yuva Sena said, "Most of the time students are unaware which information can get in which department and they land up in MU campus running one place to another which is disappointing. We should have such setup in University that every student can get their information in one go without coming to campus."
