Infant kidnapped from CSMT found in Nashik

The rescued infant has been handed over to the railway police who will hand over the baby to his parents. While the latter is still not traceable, the former infant was rescued and returned back to his parents on Monday. On March 29, a two-month-old infant went missing from CSMT station.

The Thane police have solved the kidnapping case of a two-month-old baby while trying to trace a 10-month-old who was kidnapped from Mumbra. While the latter is still not traceable, the former infant was rescued and returned back to his parents on Monday. On February 3, a 10-month-old toddler Salman Khan who stays with his parents near Mumbra station went missing. His nine-year-old cousin took him for a stroll when an unidentified woman took Salman away. She gave the girl Rs 10 to buy kheema paav and offered to hold the child till she came back. When the girl returned, the woman had vanished with Salman. There was a similar incident of child kidnapping when a 1.5-year-old baby girl who stays with her mother on footpath near Thane railway station was kidnapped. The cops rescued the toddler after six hours and also arrested a couple who stayed in Vartaknagar. To tackle such incidents of child kidnapping, the Thane crime branch formed a team which worked in tandem with railway police to trace the kidnappers of Salman. On March 29, a two-month-old infant went missing from CSMT station. "While going through the CCTV footages we zeroed in on a burkha clad woman who had picked up the infant," said Deepak Devraj, DCP – Crime, Thane police. The cops took the picture of woman and circulated it at all railway stations, public places, etc. The woman was traced in Panchvati, Nashik and a team of Thane police reached there on April 14 and caught her with the child. The woman Neelam Bora, 35 is childless and committed the crime as she wanted a child. "Children are kidnapped and are sold into beggary or to childless couples," said a police source. The rescued infant has been handed over to the railway police who will hand over the baby to his parents. CASE FILE The cops took the picture of woman and circulated it at all railway stations, public places, etc. The woman was traced in Panchvati, Nashik and Thane police arrested the accused with the child.
