Bandra Boy Karan Oberoi (KO) Scaling New Heights in the Modelling Career

  • | Tuesday | 16th April, 2019

To an outsider, the fashion and fitness industries might seem like two sides of the same coin. In reality, however, the two industries have very different standards of excellence when it comes to modelling. Understandably, the fitness world pegs a lot of importance to both diet and exercise, propagating the need to be healthy when it comes to both. Only very few models, then, are able to straddle both industries with ease. Karan Oberoi (KO) is one such exception.

Standing 6 feet tall, this Bandra lad is a combination of smouldering good looks and lean, mean fitness. When he took his first steps in the modelling world, over a decade ago, little did he know how far he would go. Today, Karan Oberoi (KO) is one of a rare stock of models who have graced the covers of Men’s Health and Health & Nutrition, as well as one who has walked the ramp for leading designers such as Rohit Bal and Shantanu & Nikhil.

He forayed into the digital space in early 2018, establishing official pages on both Instagram and Facebook. Both pages got the elusive blue tick in no time, catapulting him to internet fame. As one of the most followed fitness models on the platform, his Instagram handle alone is all set to touch the much coveted 1 million follower count in the near future. This visibility has made him a heartthrob of sorts, with young women making up more than half of his followers. As someone who is strict with his lifestyle: he does not smoke, drink or indulge in junk food; he is also a role model for the youth, encouraging youngsters to lead a healthy and disciplined life.

Oberoi has also been recognized for his unparalleled dedication – he was awarded the ‘Top Fitness Model’ by HT Brunch and won the prestigious title of ‘Youth Icon Model of the Year’ at the Global  Leadership Awards in April 2018. He has also bestowed the ‘Best Body’ title at the Mr India International Event. Bollywood bigwigs have also not missed his presence, as was clear when Filmfare magazine declared him ‘Hottie of the Fortnight’ sometime in October 2017. The past year has proven to be lucky for this Bandra boy and we expect great things from him in the year to come!
