After an 18-year-old man was found murdered in Andheri West, the D N Nagar Police solved the case within 7 hours and also arrested the accused. As per sources in the police, the accused had committed the crime over a trivial issue. According to the police, the accused Fazle Karim Saifulla Khan (18), was not on good terms with the deceased identified as Sandeep Pal. On Thursday, the duo got into a scuffle which aggravated into a physical fight.“Both lived in the same area and on Thursday, the duo had a fight but the locals in the area intervened to stop them. On Friday, the duo again got into a fight outside Pal's house,” said a police officer from the DN Nagar police station. While they were fighting, a fruit seller passed them by. Khan picked up a knife from the fruit seller's cart and stabbed Pal on the left side of his stomach, the officer said. “He then escaped from the spot and a call was made to the police by the locals. We made five teams to locate the accused,” the officer added.The police initially thought that he might escape to his hometown in Gorakhpur, hence a team was sent to Andheri station. The police then checked the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage of the area and located the accused at Ram Mandir station. Both Khan and Pal worked as medicine delivery boys.
