Mumbai: Teens held for kidnapping, raping minor girls

The Bhiwandi Police have arrested two youngsters for allegedly kidnapping and raping two minor girls. In the meantime, the victims parents lodged a police complaint and through technical analysis, the cops learnt that the girls and the teens were in Nashik. They took the girls to Nashik through Kalyan and then, forced themselves upon them. The youth were charged under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and are now in police custody. "The girls were friends with both the teenagers and hence, went with them," senior police inspector Suresh Kokate, Bhiwandi city police, said.

The Bhiwandi Police have arrested two youngsters for allegedly kidnapping and raping two minor girls. The youth were charged under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and are now in police custody. The victims are class six students and hail from Fenapada in Bhiwandi. As per sources in the police, the victims have known the youth Anil (15) and Jhinua Bind (18), for a long time. The two allegedly had a love affair with the girls. The incident took place on April 16 when they eloped with the duo from their home in Bhiwandi. "The girls were friends with both the teenagers and hence, went with them," senior police inspector Suresh Kokate, Bhiwandi city police, said. They took the girls to Nashik through Kalyan and then, forced themselves upon them. Later, they planned to take them to Bind's village in Bihar. In the meantime, the victims parents lodged a police complaint and through technical analysis, the cops learnt that the girls and the teens were in Nashik. They had plans to catch a train to Bihar and were at the railway station when they were caught on Thursday morning. The cops lodged a case under the POCSO and other relevant acts of the IPC (Indian Penal code). "The teenagers were produced in Bhiwandi court on Thursday and have been remanded to police custody. While Bind is in police custody until April 24, Anil has been sent to a children's remand home until April 21," he said. Face Of Horror
