The SSC board results have broken certain previous trends as well as re-established some old ones. There are 20 students in Maharashtra who have scored 100 per cent marks. Out of which 80 per cent or 16 students are from Latur division of the state board. The central Maharashtra district of Latur has an illustrious reputation of churning out toppers year after year. However, the last few years saw a fall in this pattern. The Latur division of Maharashtra board has recorded a 72.87 per cent result. Among schools in Latur, Keshavraj school has seven students with 100 per cent marks whereas Deshikendra School has three such students. Other seven 100 per cent scorers are from other schools in the region. "Special preparation from the students, different kinds of practice tests, teacher's guidance and consistency in studies together constitute the 'Latur' pattern. We undertake these efforts throughout the year and hence we have got these results," said M D Gavte, Principal of Keshavraj School in Latur. Students at Mumbai's Dadar's Balmohan Vidyamandir have been consistent for 9 years with their performances and have made the school proud yet again. The school has managed to maintain its record with 100% result in 2019 too. Total of 36 students scored 90% and above. Dhruva Upadhye scored 98.40% and is the boys' topper in the school, whereas Anushka Phadnis scored 96.40% and is the girls' topper. "Our students have been making us proud for 9 years. Unlike other schools, we do not pressurize our students to study constantly. We tell them to enjoy their lives. I was expecting good results this year too, knowing that these kids have been bright students since the very start," expressed a happy Rupa Roy, Head Master of the school. The parents and the teachers were all celebrating the students' success along with them. Many of them were expecting a good score as they were preparing for it since the start. "I would like to give credits to my parents, who never pressurised me into studying. My school and teachers have been supportive of me throughout. I am glad I could make them proud," says a happy Dhruva Upadhye, school topper.
