Want equal stake in govt: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray

The Shiv Sena may be staking it claims to the Chief Minister's post after the state assembly elections due later this year. However, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray hinted that the two parties had decided what had to be done after the elections. Adding fuel to the fire, Yuva Sena leader Varun Sardesai, who is Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray's cousin, claimed the two parties would share the chief minister's post for two-and-a-half years. This is irrelevant... Let the media discuss who will be the chief minister," Fadnavis said. The victory of the Shiv Sena and BJP in 41 of 48 seats in Maharashtra, had set the ground for it.
