  • | Tuesday | 13th August, 2019

After a gap of around four to five months, the Urology department will start again in government-run St George's Hospital within a few weeks. Currently, a female medical ward is operated on the first floor where the Urology department was located. According to the medical authority, soon the doctors will be appointed and the department will be functional again. "After the head of the Urology department left the job, two new mid-level doctors were appointed to check the outpatients and inpatients. Most of the patients who visit the hospital in Out Patient Department (OPD) ward are referred to the state-run major hospital — JJ Hospital for further treatment," said Madhukar Gaikwad, medical superintendent, St George's Hospital.
