FYJC admissions: 80K seats up for grabs, but 9K students don't pick any

FYJC admissions for the academic year 2019-20 are underway, and a total of 3.19 lakh seats were available across 849 colleges in the MMR. "There are no takers for some college seats. With the third round declared on August 2, close to 50,636 students were allotted seats in MMR colleges. This year, a total of 2.11 lakh students registered for FYJC admissions which is less than last year that had 2.31 lakh students. The admission process for the special round will end today (Monday) which allotted 48,664 students out of the 56,375 students that applied.
