The Bombay High Court's ruling has given activists from the non-profit organisation Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) a reason to celebrate. "This is fair and right as the honourable High Court has finally given a decision that supports development," said LRO national conveyor Vinay Joshi. LRO had urged authorities to probe Stalin's role in encouraging the school administration to send them for the agitation. According to him, Christian groups acquired a portion of land within Aarey Milk Colony for a burial ground earlier in the year. The complaint to NCPCR has also been sent to the state Education Department for investigation, and LRO plans to pursue it after state elections.

The Bombay High Court's ruling has given activists from the non-profit organisation Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) a reason to celebrate. Last week, the body had sent a complaint to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) saying students from a Catholic Church-run school were dragged to Aarey Milk Colony to participate in the Save Aarey campaign. "This is fair and right as the honourable High Court has finally given a decision that supports development," said LRO national conveyor Vinay Joshi. "It is a slap on the faces of those who used children for their agenda." The incident came to light after Stalin Dayanand of Vanashakti NGO posted a picture of the students on social media. LRO had urged authorities to probe Stalin's role in encouraging the school administration to send them for the agitation. According to him, Christian groups acquired a portion of land within Aarey Milk Colony for a burial ground earlier in the year. "Where were these 'activists' then?" Didn't a burial ground also harm green cover? They celebrated the move because it served their purpose. Now, when development (the Metro project) will benefit everyone, they are protesting," added Joshi. The complaint to NCPCR has also been sent to the state Education Department for investigation, and LRO plans to pursue it after state elections.
