Uddhav Thackeray cautions ally of 'power misuse', defends Aarey stance
| Wednesday | 9th October, 2019
In a not-so-veiled attack on the BJP, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray said he did not agree with "the misuse of power for politics of vendetta".
Uddhav said this in an interview to Sanjay Raut, Rajya Sabha MP and executive editor of the party mouthpiece Saamna.
He claimed that despite being in power in Maharashtra for the past five years, the party was not in authority.
Coming to the issue at hand, the Metro carshed at Aarey Milk Colony, Uddhav said that Sena was not opposed to the project, but to the location.
Metro is needed, development is needed, but this does not mean we should lose something more precious," he said.
