News tv anchor, Arnab Goswami is back on the radar as the Mumbai Crime Branch filed a supplementary charge sheet in the TRP manipulation scam on Tuesday where Arnab is accused. The WhatsApp message between Arnab and Partho Dasgupta is of a 1912 page document where it shows that the numbers were manipulated to help Goswami`s channel gain the TRP. 

The names of the accused add, Arnab Goswami, Priya Mukherjee, Shivendu Muledhkar, and Shiva Sundaram from ARG Outlier Media that owns Republic TV, and Sanjay Verma and Amit Dave from Maha Movie channel.

The statement was recorded through email that had 68 questions on the TRP Scam. The journalist has been shown as accused number 19 in the charge sheet. 

The Crime branch citing the chats between Arnab and Partho said that Dasgupta, who was the CEO of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), had shared viewership data with Goswami. The charge sheet says the two talked about benefitting the channel.

In the investigation, it was found that Tv news channel, Times Now was at number one but Republic was then shifted to the top position by giving Goswami a profit and leaving the deserving drowning. 

The official from Times Now stated that the channel lost 431 crores because of the scam.
