Maluka calls for collective strategy to combat drugÂ menace

Speaking at a function to release the July edition of the Sade Pind magazine at Vikas Bhawan, Maluka said that in the battle against drug addiction, both government and non-government agencies must come together. He also emphasised the role of magazines and literature and said Sade Pind had a wide reach among people in rural areas. The protesters said they had organised a march from Phase 8 to Phase 5 to Ã¢Â€Â˜seek justiceÃ¢Â€Â™.

Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat Minister, Sikander Singh Maluka, on Thursday emphasised the need for launching a strategy to tackle the drug menace. Union leader Rajat Ahuja said they have been demanding a regular pay scale and other benefits, which were promised earlier but not delivered.
