Indoreans go on cyclothon to raise green awareness

The race will be open to people on or above 14 years of age. Urban development minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will be the chief guest on the occasion. Online registrations have been closed, however, people can register offline for free.

INDORE: To promote the cause of making the city greener and healthier, Golden Bird Foundation, an NGO, will organize a cyclothon on July 13 between 6am and 7am. The race will be open to people on or above 14 years of age. Urban development minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Foundation CEO and founder Aakash Mishra said, "The event is being organized to make Indoreans fit and create green awareness among them. Cyclothon will be flagged off from SGSITS and cover Janjeerwala crossing, Industry House Tiraha, Dewas Naka and Navlakha crossing. Online registrations have been closed, however, people can register offline for free.

So far, 600 members have registered for the event. Two best finishers will be gifted bicycles worth Rs 15,000/- and other prizes while six performers will be provided insurance cover of Rs 20 lakh, besides participation certificates. The award ceremony will be organized at 9am on SGSITS premises.
