CHANDIGARH: Students who have not taken admission in any of the government schools or have taken admission but wish to change their school or stream can now buckle up as the education department begins second two of counselling session on Wednesday. This round is for candidates who have already taken admission in a government school, but want to submit a request for change of school or stream or option and candidates who applied for admission during first round of counselling, but did not take admission for any reason or were not allotted any seat. They will have to submit the form titled `Form for change of school/stream/option` on July 16 from 9 am to 1 pm.

The forms will be available free of cost in six schools government model senior secondary schools in sectors 10, 19 21, 40, 46, and Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra. The form will also be available on , the website of education department. Candidates who did not apply for admission earlier, can also apply on the registration form given in the prospectus priced at Rs 130.

These forms will be available in the schools and online as well. The list of school wise and stream wise vacant seats has been uploaded on UT education department`s website. In case, a candidate cannot get a seat in the school/stream of first option, his/her name will be included in the `waiting list` of that school/stream.

The number of candidates to be included in the waiting list will not exceed 10% of the total sanctioned seats of respective school/stream. This list will be valid up to August 8. In case the name of a candidate does not figure in the waiting list of school/stream of first option mentioned in the form, his/her name will be included under waiting list of the school/stream given under second option.

The procedure will be similar for candidates who will be applying for admission for the first time. List of vacant seats after second round of counselling and subsequent vacancies (category wise/ stream wise) will be displayed by all the schools on every Monday in the month of July and August up to August 6. List of selected candidates form the waiting list will also be displayed on the same day.

Each school will display information relating to it. Eligibility criteria, allotment of seats and other details will remain as mentioned in the prospectus.
