Can't waive off entry point toll tax now: PWD Minister

The BJP, in its 2014 assembly election manifesto, had promised to make Maharashtra toll-free once voted to powerState PWD Minister Chandrakant Patil on Monday made it clear that it was not possible, at least for now, to cancel the Mumbai entry point (MEP) toll tax. During a press conference on Amar Mahal junction flyover status, when asked as to when the government would make Maharashtra toll-free, and end the Mumbai Entry Point tax, Patil said, “Only Eknath Shinde, minister for MSRTC, can answer this question.
