Once again swords have been pulled out of the scabbard between Shiv Sena and NDA which has hinted at snapping ties with the BJP-led alliance in Maharashtra in a Twitter post.

The relationship has been estranged since long but they had come face to face when beaf ban issue was opposed by Shiv Sena creating enough embarrassment for BJP. The rift again came into open when Government issued notice to Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad for assaulting airlines staff. The fresh conflict has come over the the escalating diesel prices.

Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut wrote on Twitter that the party does not want to share the blame for the BJP’s policies. Earlier, Sena has never shied from criticising the Devendra Fadnavis government and had supported the farm debt waiver. It had also opposed the stamp duty hike on conveyance and the gift deed to blood relations. The question is will this fresh rift between the two see Sena pulling away from NDA or things will become normal.
