The Mumbai Crime Branch's Criminal intelligence unit, which arrested DK Rao, a close aide of Chhota Rajan in an extortion case has arrested one more accused in the case. The accused has been identified as Shankar Yerola (40) a resident of Dharavi. According to the police, it was revealed during the investigation that Yerola was part of the conspiracy to extort money from the complainant and had also threatened the complainant on behalf of Rao. It has also been revealed during the investigation that Chhota Rajan had also threatened the complainant over the phone and had asked him to follow the instructions of Rao and his men. The police said that time Rajan was not arrested. "Yerola demanded extortion money and also threatened the consultant to leave the project. We picked him up from his residence on Tuesday morning and after preliminary questioning, we placed him under arrest in the afternoon," said a crime branch officer. Meanwhile the Azad Maidan police is like to seek custody of DK Rao in another case.
