This will be the first road construction work taken up by the MMRDA for the city in the past couple of years. MMRDA is currently undertaking construction of roads in Thane, Kalyan and Bhiwandi region, and has constructed many roads such as the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road, Santa Cruz-Chembur Link Road and Sahar Elevated Road in the city.
