Mysuru: Devaraj Police have launched an investigation into the entry of an unknown person inside the KR Hospital Nursing College girl’s hostel on July 20. The miscreant allegedly threatened the students.CCTVs in the hostel captured visuals showing the miscreant enter the hostel and stealing clothes of the inmates. According to the student, the miscreant fled after snatching the mobile phone of a student. He also threatened her with dire consequences.According to sources, entered the hostel post-midnight and was inside the building till 3am. “The CCTV footage are clearly revealing his face. We have launched an investigation. Our investigators visited the hostel on Friday and verified all the CCTV footage. Soon, we will arrest the miscreant,” police said.The incident came to light after students alerted the hostel staff who in turn lodged a police complaint.“There was a similar incident last year. Following complaints by students, the hostel administrators installed CCTV and improved the security. Still, the miscreant could enter the hostel from the backside,” said police.
