MYSURU: The Mysuru district administration on Saturday rescued 15 migrant labourers from a farm in the Bylakuppe Tibetan Settlement All the labourers who were rescued are from North Karnataka. “The three lessees have also committed a crime by confining the labourers to the farm. As most of the labourers are Dalits, an atrocity case too has been filed against the accused,” he said. They were allegedly forced to work on a 25-acre ginger farm in the 11th camp in the Tibetan settlement.Three persons from Arasikere taluk in Hassan district had taken the farm on lease to cultivate ginger. A complaint has been registered at Bylakuppe police station.
