MYSURU: Anil Chikkamadu , Congress MLA from H D Kote , has accused former minister and BJP leader C P Yogeshwar of offering him Rs 100 crore to resign his assembly membership in a bid to topple the Congress-JD(S) government.Chikkamadu claimed Yogeshwar had called him shortly after results of the assembly elections were announced and had attempted to lure him to the BJP as the saffron party strove to cobble up the numbers to form the government. Chikkamadu said he had refused.Though the calls stopped in the aftermath of Congress joining hands with the JD(S) to form the coalition government, Chikkamadu claimed the efforts were renewed a week ago.“With the support of senior Congress leaders including former chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister G Parameshwara and water resources minister DK Shivakumar, I won assembly polls on my first attempt,” Chikkamadu said.
