Mysuru: Demanding an explanation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on creation of jobs in the country since his ascension to the post, senior Congress leader and former minister HC Mahadevappa on Wednesday said, “Modi must tell the people the number of jobs he has created.”Reminding Modi of his promise to create five crore jobs in the country, Mahadevappa said, “It is time he explained to the people how many jobs have been created in the past four years. “Youngsters should be wary of these promises made by the BJP. We have been friends for 35 years, and we are now together once again.”Mahadevappa said that the Congress had extended support to JD(S) to keep BJP out of power in Karnataka. The young supported Modi because he promised them jobs, but he has not walked the talk,” Mahadevappa said.Questioning the move to bar people with more than two children to contest elections in Assam, where the BJP is in power, Mahadevappa said that such a restriction was anti-Constitutional and against the principles of justice.

But, our friendship extends beyond mere political equations. We have been friends for 35 years, and we are now together once again.”Mahadevappa said that the Congress had extended support to JD(S) to keep BJP out of power in Karnataka.
