HASSAN: Just after tying the knot, a bride rushed to the examination centre to write her academic exam and the groom happily waited outside.This happened due to the by-election for Mandya Lok Sabha seat, as exam was postponed to Nov 18, which was her date of marriage. HR Shwetha is the Final year student of Government First Grade College, MG Road, Hassan. She appeared for the re-scheduled exams for the Corporate accounts and Law from Mysuru University.Her engagement was on May 6 and marriage was fixed for Nov 18, 2018. After the announcement of by-elections, her examination date was postponed to Nov 18 which coincided with her wedding date.On Sunday morning between 7.45 and 8.45, Shwetha and Naveen got married during the auspicious lagnam. After this, Shwetha went directly to the examination centre along with her husband and family members.Groom waited outside the exam centre for Shwetha to complete the exam and went back with her for the celebrations."I studied properly for the exam and don't want to miss this opportunity. My parents and in-laws too agreed for this. Never thought that exam will be scheduled on the day of my marriage. It is new experience and I hope to pass it with distinction," said Shwetha.
