All roads will lead to South India’s Kumbh Mela , which will be held for three days from February 17 to 19 at Thiramakudalu Narasipura. The mela will take place at the Triveni Sangama, confluence of rivers Cauvery, Kapila and Spatika Sarovar. The Kumbh Mela, held once every three years since 1989, is expected to attract more than three lakh of devotees.Devotees can take a dip on all the days of the Kumbh Mela, during which time, various religious activities like homa, havana and abhishekhas will take place that will be attended by more than 60 religious leaders. On Monday evening, Ganga puja on the lines of the one held at Varanasi will be one of highlights of the mela.Temples like Biksheshwara, Mulastheneshwara and Agastheswara Gunjanarasimhaswamy are getting a new look on the occasion of Kumbh Mela. Security arrangements are in place to prevent any untoward incidents.
