Reject leaders making empty promises says Devanooru Mahadeva

Modi had promised to generate one crore jobs for youngsters every year, but many of them are now staring at unemployment. “PM Modi has failed to deliver on his promise to generate 10 crore jobs in five years. “But many people do not have a single paisa to their name after five years of his rule. Mysuru: “Reject political leaders who make hollow promises in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections,” said writer and activist Devanooru Mahadeva on Friday.Mahadeva, who participated at a state-level youth conference organised by the All India Democratic Youth Organisation AIDYO ) as part of its ‘Parliament Chalo’ rally to highlight the BJP-led central government’s failure in tackling unemployment , voiced concerns over the atmosphere of hate prevailing in society today. The central government’s claim that 15 crore people benefitted from MUDRA scheme has been contradicted by the Reserve Bank of India, data released by which indicates that only 23,000 accrued the benefits of this initiative.

Modi had promised to generate one crore jobs for youngsters every year, but many of them are now staring at unemployment. The last budget of the NDA government was a rainbow, an illusion that will remain so,” he added.Mahadeva said that the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections would decide the future of India.AIDYO national president Ramanjanappa Aldalli, meanwhile, sought to puncture some of the claims made by the BJP-led government at the Centre. “PM Modi has failed to deliver on his promise to generate 10 crore jobs in five years. The government acquired agricultural land to set up industries, but since there is no sign of these establishments coming up, farmers are demanding that the land be returned to them,” Aldalli said.AIDYO Karnataka committee president M Umadevi, and chief of the Mysuru district committee Harish SH were present.
