JSS hospital proceed towards COVID vaccine drug trials

After the stage two trials of the Covishield, the institute has now moved for the stage three trials of Oxford Covishield vaccine. 

JSS hospital achieved a rare feet in India’s fight against COVID-19 with three clinical trials of promising vaccines for the disease.

B Suresh, pro-chancellor of the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research ‘’after the Oxford vaccines Covishield now we are approached for the stage two and three of Novavax vaccine. We approved the proposal.

He further added ‘’the proposal came to us through the Serum Institute of India, Pune. The formalities of the clinical trials will be completed soon’’. As per B Suresh ‘’a total of 120 volunteers will participate in the stage three trials of Covishield’’.

Meanwhile after the stage two trials of Covishield the institute now moved to the stage of stage three trials of the Oxford Covishield vaccine also.

The hospital consisting 1200 beds also started registration of volunteers in the age group of 60-80 years to study the efficacy of BCG vaccine on coronavirus.
