Karnataka: 5 Accused in Mysore Gangrape Arrested in Tamil Nadu

Five accused arrested in Tamil Nadu. 

The five men accused for raping a Mysore student has been arrested on Saturday. Amongst them, one is a juvenile. 

All the five accused are from Tamil Nadu and work as labourers. "They used to come to Mysore often," Karnataka DGP Praveen Sood said.

According to police, the five accused attacked the victim and her friend for money and later raped her around 7-8 pm on August 24.

Karnataka Chief Minister CM Basavaraj S Bommai said five police teams are investigating the Mysuru gang-rape case. "Police have taken the Mysuru case very seriously", Bommai told reporters on Saturday.
