MIT, Manipal to launch country's first four-seater passenger solar car on Engineer's Day

MANIPAL: On the occasion of engineer's day, team SolarMobil of Manipal Institute of Technology , Manipal, will launch their third project, SM-S1.It is being considered as India's first and only four-seater passenger solar car. TATA Power Solar sponsored the solar panels Engineer's day is the perfect setting to launch this endeavor and is a perfect example of the boundless capabilities of the talent students of MIT.1. The car has been designed and manufactured solely by the students of MIT . Element 14 sponsored all the DAQ components4.

MANIPAL: On the occasion of engineer's day, team SolarMobil of Manipal Institute of Technology , Manipal, will launch their third project, SM-S1.It is being considered as India's first and only four-seater passenger solar car. The car has been designed and manufactured solely by the students of MIT . Amongst Indian universities, very little research has been done in the domain of Solar-powered passenger vehicles and all the research, development and study on the field has been done independently by members of SolarMobil.This car is an effort made by the team to promote stronger interest in solar powered automobiles which could serve as benchmark for all future development by major players in the industry. Engineer's day is the perfect setting to launch this endeavor and is a perfect example of the boundless capabilities of the talent students of MIT.1. Can attain a top speed of 80km/hr.2.
