Nagpur: The seven-year-old daughter of Vivek Palatkar, prime suspect in Pawankar-Palatkar murders, will be the newest inmate of the government shelter home at Katol Road Square. The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has issued a formal order sending her to the new place.Palatkar went berserk at the Aradhana Nagar home of his brother-in-law killing five persons, including his own four year old son, on June 11.Nandanvan police were compelled to keep Palatkar’s daughter at the government shelter home a day ago with a special permission as none of the relatives wanted to keep her presuming that her father may return with a similar murderous zeal.A source at the district women and child development office said Palatkar’s daughter’ will soon resume education. “If required, we will take a transfer certificate from her school and get her admission in an institution closer to the home,” he said.It’s learnt that Palatkar’s daughter is reeling under trauma. “She starts crying if someone tries to dig into the incident too much. So, we are not talking to her about the incident too much. She is being counselled by the home’s counsellor with special care. If required, we will take help from a psychiatrist,” he said.CWC has also ordered the shelter home’s probation officer to submit special weekly report about her behaviour and other details of the stay.Palatkar had spared his elder daughter and her cousin Mitali from his murderous rage. He went on to bludgeon five, including his younger son Krushna (4), to death. Palatkar had posed as ‘lecturer’ to take the room on rent for Rs2,500 per month after meeting the landlord at a temple three months ago.Police, who had already found lemons, vermilion, hair and other material required for black magic at his place, said the blood-stained clothes were found concealed in a loft near the ceiling on Friday.
