A retro treat for audience in ‘Sitaron ke Tarane 2’

Nagpur: Audience at Scientific Society Hall were in for a treat of enchanting retro songs as a perfect blend of young and seasoned singers presented ‘Sitaron ke Tarane — 2’ musical programme on Sunday. The show was hosted by Shweta Shegaonkar. From there on, after every song host Shweta Shelgaonkar revived the memories of the original artistes on whom the song was picturized. A screen was placed adjacent to the stage where the singers were performing and visuals of old songs were shown on it. It programme was organized by Bhagyashree Baraskar.

The event was organized by Swapnashilpa in the Laxmi Nagar facility.Niharika Chhajed and Neeta Bhave gave a near-perfect start to the show with ‘Gore gore, oh banke chhore’ song from the movie ‘Samadhi’. From there on, after every song host Shweta Shelgaonkar revived the memories of the original artistes on whom the song was picturized. Likewise late actress Sridevi too was remembered by her song ‘Morni bagama bole aadhi raat ma’.On the occasion of Father’s Day a song was dedicated to all the fathers with the number ‘Tera mujhse hai pahle ka nata koi’ in the melodious voice of young talent Arya Baraskar and Sandeep Joshi, a multi-talented corporator.Other songs like ‘Haal kaisa hai janab ka’, ‘Dil kya kare jab kisi se’, ‘Oh hasina, zulfon wali’, ‘Bachna aye hasino, lo mein aa gaya’, ‘Vada raha sanam’ ably caught the fancy of the gathering. A screen was placed adjacent to the stage where the singers were performing and visuals of old songs were shown on it. A retro atmosphere was created with the help of the singers and musicians.More than 25 singers including Pallavi Upadev, Shantala Bhole, Prachi Joshi, Devyani Joshi and Gayatri Sawarkar created a superb atmosphere of retro world.The function came to an end with the melodious songs ‘Tere bina zindagi se’ and ‘Sajana ji vari’ by Bhagyashree Baraskar.Earlier the programme started with lighting of the traditional lamp by host Shweta Shegaonkar, guests Pravin Lihitkar and Parimal Joshi.
