Nagpur’s ‘green’ wedding enters Limca Book of Records

Wadhwani also mentioned that this wedding was registered in Limca Book of Records, as first time a wedding was based on an environmental theme. Nagpur: Going green as a theme has caught attention of wedding planners now. Rahul Motwani, event manager told Nagpur Today that, the wedding was on June 6 this year, a day after World Environment Day and thus this idea was derived in my mind. A recent weddings held in Bhim Chowk area had the ‘baraatis’ holding environment protection messages as they walked in the wedding procession. Quite a few weddings in the city are trying to incorporate ‘green values’ in a bid to catch attention and create awareness as well.
