Cong leaders seek early party elections for Nagpur

The meeting also discussed on fighting 2019 Lok Sabha polls with full strength and unity to regain the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat. Nagpur : Congress leaders from Nagpur met Mallikarjun Kharge, the national general secretary of All India Congress Committee and party incharge for Maharashtra State, and urged him to make early decision on elections of Nagpur City unit of the party. He also appealed to all Congress leaders to come together to bring Congress back in Vidarbha region. Kharge gave a patient hearing to the leaders and extended few suggestions regarding the general elections. The Congress delegation from Nagpur included former MP Gevh Awhari, former State Minister Anees Ahmed and former MLA and former Sewa Dal state president Ashok Dhavad.
