Nagpur: With an impressive 574 of 800, Kamptee’s Pratiksha Laxman Rochlani bagged all India rank (AIR) 7 in the Chartered Accountancy final exam held by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).She now wants to take up a job involving direct taxes. Pratiksha attributed her success to her parents. “I never wanted to give up and also looked up to my parents. I continued just because of their faith in me,” she said.Pratiksha said she had been preparing for one of the toughest exams since November 2017. She has been doing articleship at a well-known firm since 2015. Earlier, she had also secured top AIR in other national exams like company secretariat (executive) and CS (professional).Wardhaman Nagar’s Saksham Jain with AIR 27 is another topper from the city in the top 50 so far. Saksham scored 533 of 800.The Nagpur Chapter of ICAI on Saturday said that so far it hasn’t received details of toppers from the city centre though results were announced a day ago. “We’re also getting information from students and through social media,” they said.ICAI national economy advisory committee member Zulfesh Shah congratulated Pratiksha and Saksham.“The exam was tough but Nagpur candidates continue to do good. There may be more toppers but data for city’ centre has still not been made available,” Shah said.Other from the city who made it to the top 10 in recent history are Atul Agrawal (AIR 1), Gaurav Shrawagi (AIR 1), Pawan Sarda (AIR 2) and Prachi Keshwani (AIR 3).
