Nagpur: Young poets, story tellers, comedians and singer from the city, came together at an open mic seassion titled ‘Kaafila 2.0’ which was organized by Writersdesk India at Bouffage Café and Bistro, Dharampeth, Nagpur. Youngster were seen reading out their compositions (with mobile phones in their hands) while other performed music. The evening ended with an acoustic music performance where city based band, from Ramdevbaba College performed both Hindi and English songs. “We had planned to organize this event as we have so many talented artist in our town who do not often get a platform to showcase their skills,” said Lavanya Sachdeva, organizing team member and host of the evening. Sachdeva further added that “Kaafila 2.0 is back in home after two months. Witerdesk India, is a literature startup operating in 26 cities in India and in 9 different nations. We will soon organize another such chapter in Mumbai and Dehradun” The programme started with Ajakar Vaidya’s poetry ‘shhh.. ye jayas hai…’ which molded audience together. Followed by Mihir Thatte singing melody of three gazals, provided sufi touch to the evening. The programme also had human library section wherein renowned personnel will interact with audience. Where Ekta Bhaiya, runner up of Mrs India title disused the struggle of her life and how she used to face racial remarks. Kunal Mandhania, faculty, Vidarbha Professional Academy interaction was about following your passion, even if it’s not study. Farheen Khan, known as self taught multipotentialite discussed the flaws of education system in her story. Audience was enthralled with joy and laughter when RJ Raj hosted ‘complete a tale’. He asked 5 random people to come in front and narrate a story. “The ambience of the whole event was so entertaining. I was really amazed by the level of skills the participants exhibited. RJ Raj’s act was hilarious,” said Mohammad Aquib. “I came to attend this event following a friend’s recommendation and I loved the performance.
