‘OYE Talks’ reveals secret of success for youth

Nagpur: Every day we come across situations that demands to be changed, but how many times do we actually change it? This seemed to be the driving question in the lives of five speakers at Samarpan Awareness Foundation’s ‘Open Your Eyes (OYE) Talks’ on Sunday at the Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Auditorium at Persistent Solutions, who saw the need to change the society and acted upon it in their own special ways and made it a little better.These speakers, consisting of entrepreneurs and social workers belonging to different age groups and coming from various walks of life, are no more humans than the rest of the world, but they are a lot more humane than the rest of us; OYE Talks was organized to motivate youngsters through their struggle stories in the event organized on the lines of TEDx Talks on International Youth Day.First speaker of the morning was an architect Mukul Kulkarni, who at the age when people think about retirement, aspired to be an entrepreneur and started a small cozy café at Hingna road. “Initially, you will face a lot of inhibitions just like I did. But the key is to go with your gut and prove yourself right,” said Kulkarni.He also recommended, “Every aspiring entrepreneur must read three books in his life- Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged by Ann Rynd. Take a road less travelled by with conviction in yourself and success is sure to come your way”.
