Super Editor SN Vinod joins Nagpur Today as Editor in Chief

Nagpur: With an envious and commendable track record of serving as first editor of many of the most premium and prestigious publications and electronic media across India, Super Editor SN Vinod has now joined the city’s most popular and youth’s heartthrob enewspaper Nagpur Today. On August 1, 2018, Mr Vinod has recently completed his 57 years of serving as Editor.

Nagpur: With an envious and commendable track record of serving as first editor of many of the most premium and prestigious publications and electronic media across India, Super Editor SN Vinod has now joined the city’s most popular and youth’s heartthrob enewspaper Nagpur Today. He would be mentoring the young reporters and nurturing the news room with his enriched experience. In media fraternity, it is often said that SN Vinod has always lived up to the ethics of journalism and has the distinction of maintaining it in letter and spirit throughout his career. On August 1, 2018, Mr Vinod has recently completed his 57 years of serving as Editor. Along with this remarkable feat, he has also completed his 30 years in Nagpur. Known to promote pure talent in the media world, Mr Vinod has been the founder and first editor of Prabhat Khabar – the most prestigious newspaper simultaneously circulated from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. During his journalism career in Nagpur, Mr Vinod had also served as the first editor of Hindi daily Lokmat Samachar. He also remained editor of Nava Bharat – Nagpur and Bhopal, and Janvada and also worked as a Group Editor in Deshonnati. He also went on to become Group Editor in news channels Saadhna and News Express. Nonetheless, Mr Vinod also served as the first editor of India News, yet another news channels. SN Vinod also holds the distinction of being the youngest editor in journalism. While in English, journo MJ Akbar is considered as the youngest editor to join his first assignment in similar capacity at the age of 23, in Hindi Mr Vinod is regarded as the youngest editor to join any publication for the first time. On August 1, 1961, at the age of 20, Mr Vinod joined as an Editor of a newspaper named Swatantra which was published and printed on broadsheet those days in Bihar, the state where he is often revered as Big B of Journalism. Such is his aura that a book titled ‘Bihar mein patrakarita ka itihaas’, entirely dedicated one of its chapters to Mr Vinod’s prolific journey in journalism.
