Nagpur: Three people have been nabbed for stealing Rs12.01 lakh from the house of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) leader Mujib Pathan on Friday morning at Butibori. The accused are identified as Pravin Manjulkar, Munnusingh alias Generalsingh Tak and Washim Shah.The accused had barged into the house of Pathan while he was away. The accused first went into the room of Mujib’s father and threatened him with a knife and other weapons. They then went to Mujib’s mother’s room and had also threatened her. The trio robbed gold jewellery and cash from the house before trying to flee. However, the security personnels at the house nabbed the accused. Mujib’s brother also rushed to the spot and nabbed the accused.Butibori police was informed and soon rushed to the spot. The accused were handed over to the police. Cops arrested the accused under section 394, 452, 459, of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other relevant sections. Cops also took the accused for medical check-up on Friday evening.
