Nagpur: The Nagpur bench of Bombay high court on Friday ordered recovery of exam fee from students of Central India Institute of Mass Communication (CIIMC).In January, Nagpur University held a special exam for students of the institute whose director Sunil Mishra has been accused of a scholarship scam as well.Former district government pleader advocate Prashant Sathianathan and NU’s legal adviser said the bench headed by justice BP Dharmadhikari and justice MG Giradkar directed recovery directly from students.“The exam fee has to be paid by students and for the purpose of recovery, NU can even hold back their degree,” said Sathianathan. He further said that this order is applicable to only those students who are ineligible for scholarships. “There were 166 who appeared for the NU exam. Whatever financial transactions occurred between students and CIIMC is between them and not our concern,” said Sathianathan.Mishra and NU have been at loggerheads over various issues for quite some time and both parties have made several allegations against each other.
