Gang damages many vehicles in Pachpaoli

Nagpur: A group of 10 to 12 people went on a vehicle damaging spree following a fight near Naik Tatav in the wee hours of Tuesday. They immediately came out and saw several people carrying sticks were damaging the vehicles parked in the area.The group was also hurling abuses and threatening people. The angry mob damaged nine vehicles, including a four-wheeler and a two-wheeler, all parked in the lane.Gangs going on vehicle damaging spree has become rampant in Pachpaoli and Jaripatka areas as several such incidents had been reported earlier. According to cops, the accused damaged vehicles to create terror in the area following a quarrel between two groups.Ulhas Sonkusre, 21, a resident of the area, was at home with his family members. He and his brother were having dinner when they heard the noise of glass breaking.

Ulhas informed the police who rushed to the spot. But by the time they arrived, the accused had fled.It was learnt that Ulhas had earlier fought with some people over a family issue and suspected that the accused could be involved in the case.Senior PI of Pachpaoli Narendra Hiwre said, “We have rounded up two people, including a minor, on suspicion and are questioning them about the incident.”Pachpaoli police have booked the accused for unlawful assembly and destructing public property under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
