Nagpur: The city-based Podar World School organized an intra class Food Fest recently. The event was aimed at creating awareness about healthy food and dietary habits. A special assembly introduced and emphasized the importance of nutritious and healthy food habits. On the occasion various events such as ‘Cooking without fire’ were organized which carried the message of “Healthy Heart, Healthy Body”. Relishing and sharing the food with smiling faces ensured that happiness reigned. Little commentators through inspirational speeches and thought provoking quotes highlighted the demerits of consuming junk food, world food problem and solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty. Students understood the benefits of consuming healthy fresh foods that meet the relevant food quality and safety. Addressing the students, Principal Yogendra Katare lauded the efforts of the students for being successful in spreading a healthy message and for their active participation and commendable presentation. With added knowledge about different international cuisine, basic table manners and ethics the tiny tots returned home excited to brief their parents about their wonderful experience.
