Four activists of Bhim Army arrested for showing black flags to Fadnavis

The arrested activists have been identified as Amol Munnalal Chimankar (25), Sangaratna Narendra Patil (17), both residents of Kamptee, Prashant Milind Bansod (29), President of Bhim Army, Nagpur City and Ajay Ambadas Bhimte (30), President of Bhim Army, Nagpur Rural. The four arrested activists were booked by Bajaj Nagar police under Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act. Nagpur: Four activists of Bhim Army were on Thursday arrested for showing black flag to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis when he was proceeding toward Deekshabhoomi for attending the main function of Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebration. Midway near Bajaj Nagar, the four activists ran towards convoy of Fadnavis and showed black flags to him. On Thursday around 6.55 pm, the Chief Minister Fadnavis was going to Deekshabhoomi to attend the main function of Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebration.

The arrested activists have been identified as Amol Munnalal Chimankar (25), Sangaratna Narendra Patil (17), both residents of Kamptee, Prashant Milind Bansod (29), President of Bhim Army, Nagpur City and Ajay Ambadas Bhimte (30), President of Bhim Army, Nagpur Rural. On Thursday around 6.55 pm, the Chief Minister Fadnavis was going to Deekshabhoomi to attend the main function of Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebration. Midway near Bajaj Nagar, the four activists ran towards convoy of Fadnavis and showed black flags to him. The activists also raised slogans against the Chief Minister. Policemen on bandobast duty managed to round up two of the activists Amol Chimankar and Sangaratna Narendra Patil on the spot. However, the two other activists Prashant Bansod and Ajay Bhimte escaped but later they too were arrested. The four arrested activists were booked by Bajaj Nagar police under Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act.
