Honest cop returns lost purse to trader

Nagpur: Assistant sub-inspector of traffic wing, Tarunkumar Yadav, posted at Cotton Market division, returned last week returned a purse to a trader who had lost it a couple of days ago. After checking the documents inside the purse, he had realized that the purse belonged to one Pravin Jain’s son. The purse, which belonged to one Jain family who owned a saree shop in central Nagpur, had around cash Rs 6,800, ATM cards and other documents.Yadav, while attending his duty at Cotton Market, had spotted the purse near Cotton market. Procuring the address and contact number, Khatri contacted the Jain family relaying them about their lost purse being found by the traffic cop who is now keen to return it to the owner.Yadav and Khatri later met the Jain family handing over the purse to them. It’s learnt the Jains had already given up any hope to get the purse back.

Yadav decided to take help of one social worker from Kalamanch Anil Khatri who had earlier had helped people get their lost belongings back.It’s learnt Khatri referring to the documents inside the purse approached a co-operative bank for assistance to reach the Jain family. Procuring the address and contact number, Khatri contacted the Jain family relaying them about their lost purse being found by the traffic cop who is now keen to return it to the owner.Yadav and Khatri later met the Jain family handing over the purse to them. It’s learnt the Jains had already given up any hope to get the purse back. The overwhelmed Jains later expressed their gratitude to the police department especially the traffic wing.
