The Week- Hansa National Research Survey 2018 Fully NABH accredited and ISO 9001: 2015 certified OCHRI is the only hospital from Nagpur to have been included always from 2006 till date in said list Orange City Hospital & Research Institute has gained distinction of having retained its rank as 1st amongst all private and government hospitals & medical colleges of Nagpur in the recently announced The Week- Hansa National Survey of India’s Best hospitals list 2018. Last year also OCHRI was ranked 1st in Nagpur. This survey was conducted amongst specialists and general practioneers from 17 cities plus National capital region of India. Highlighting this accomplishment, Dr. Anup Marar, OCHRI Director stated that The Week- Hansa National research survey is much looked for in hospital sector for their yearly inclusions and ranking given to private and government hospitals. He added that this survey was conducted amongst specialists and general practioneers from 17 cities plus National capital region of India. A primary survey was conducted amongst health experts- 674 general physicians and 1350 specialists. The experts were asked to ranks top five multi-speciality hospitals of India and within their own city. Experts response to hospitals they are associated were ignored. Later on the data collected was validated using factual data from hospitals and other sources. The final rank of hospital is based on the number of nominations received, ranks given and rating of six parameters namely Overall reputation, Competency of doctors, Infrastructure and facilities, Patient care, Hospital environment and Research & Innovation which was subsequently validated by leading doctors and experts of the country before finalising. It is added that OCHRI is the only hospital from Nagpur to have retained its inclusion in India’s Best hospital list (The Week) during the national surveys conducted amongst all government/ private medical colleges/ hospitals of Nagpur from 2006 onwards till date. Shri.Udaybhaskar Nair, Chairman, NAIRSONS Group thanked and complimented the doctors and staff of OCHRI to have created this history and added that this achievement adds more responsibility and accountability to each one associated with OCHRI to stand up to the expectations of public for such a trust placed on them. Dr. Deepak Dongre, OCHRI Medical Superintendent added that of the 11 hospital named from Nagpur in said list, OCHRI has been ranked 1st. He added that OCHRI also created history in Nagpur when it ventured to proceed directly for attainment of FULL NABH accreditation without going through customary entry level channel in single stroke with no re-inspection which itself was an historic accomplishment. It is worth mentioning that OCHRI was the only private hospital of Nagpur to have been earlier awarded “India’s Best General Hospital” Title at ICICI Lombard- CNBC TV18 India Health Care Awards for outstanding Service to the community by hands of Deputy Chairperson, Planning Commission. OCHRI was one of the 27 hospitals selected out of 3500 hospitals all over India for this award and was the only hospital from Central India in that year to have been included in this distinguished list.
